DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Galerie Phoebus\, the Alliance Française Rotterdam invites you to attend the talk: How to redefine the different ways of being activists for women artists? \nFrom April 24 to September 14\, Galerie Phoebus is exhibiting the collective la tangente in its Ladekastproject – two dressers that invite artists to express themselves freely. \nTo celebrate the end of the exhibition\, 11 artists from the ta tangente collective will be present in Rotterdam to discuss the question of activism in women’s art practice. They will be joined in their discussion by Dutch artists and art specialists. \nLa tangente: Since 2016\, the 18 women artists of la tangente have been developing exchanges of words on their respective practices and on art. Without a program or concept\, it is their relationships of esteem in an attentive listening that cemented the group\, quickly rejecting the formula of «feminist activists».  \nOver time\, along the way\, without determinism\, la tangente identified itself as a collective of 18 individualities without any stylistic link\, forming a utopian body in the feminine with an unwaveritrust art.\n \n\n\n📅 Join us on Saturday September 13 at 2pm at Galerie Pheobus (Eendrachtsweg 61 3012LG) for a discussion followed by a meeting with the artists and a presentation of their work from 4pm. \n\n🎤 Talk in English. \n\n🎫 Free admission upon reservation. DESCRIPTION:En collaboration avec la Galerie Phoebus\, l’Alliance Française Rotterdam vous propose d’assister à la conférence : Comment redéfinir les différentes manières d’être militantes pour des artistes femmes ?  \n\n\nDu 24 avril au 14 septembre\, la Galerie Phoebus expose le collectif la tangente au sein de son Ladekastproject – deux commodes qui invitent les artistes à s’exprimer librement. \nA l’occasion de la clôture de l’exposition\, 11 artistes du collectif la tangente seront présentes à Rotterdam pour discuter de la question du militantisme dans la pratique de l’art par les femmes. Dans leur discussion\, elles seront rejointes par des artistes et spécialistes de l’art néerlandais. \n\n\nLa tangente : Depuis 2016\, les 18 artistes femmes de la tangente développent des échanges de paroles sur leurs pratiques respectives et sur l’art. Sans programme ni concept\, ce sont leurs relations d’estime dans une écoute attentive qui ont cimenté le groupe\, rejetant très vite la formule de « militantes féministes ». Au fil du temps\, chemin faisant\, sans déterminisme la tangente s’est identifiée comme un collectif de 18 individualités sans aucun lien stylistique\, formant un corps utopique au féminin avec une confiance indéfectible en l’art. \n📅 Rendez-vous le samedi 13 septembre à 14h à la Galerie Pheobus (Eendrachtsweg 61 3012LG) pour une discussion suivie d’une rencontre avec les artistes et d’une présentation de leurs œuvres à partir de 16h. \n\n🎤 Conférence en anglais. \n\n🎫 Entrée gratuite sur réservation.
