La tradition du « poisson d’avril » remonte au XVIe siècle lorsque le roi Charles IX a changé le calendrier. Le premier jour de l’année\, autrefois en avril\, a été déplacé au 1er janvier. Mais certaines personnes ont continué à s’offrir des cadeaux de nouvel an le 1er avril. Peu à peu\, ces cadeaux se sont transformés en blagues\, puis en poissons accrochés dans le dos ! \nLa coutume du « poisson d’avril » consiste à accrocher un poisson (en papier) dans le dos d’une personne. Quand la personne découvre la plaisanterie\, il faut dire « Poisson d’avril ! ». Cette coutume serait liée au Carême\, période chrétienne pendant laquelle le poisson est le principal aliment autorisé. \n
